Every year, the AgapeFest team explores new ways to integrate both music and ministry into the festival which add content in various ways. At AF2011, we ran an experimental Third Stage sponsored by our friends at Sancrosanct Records. We loved the opportunity that Third Stage was last year.
For AF2012, we have partnered with Not For Sale. Not For Sale (NFS) is a Christ-centered not-for-profit organization that is solely dedicated to the cause of abolishing modern-day slavery across the globe. It is estimated that over 27 million people are currently bound by human trafficking and slavery in 2012. AgapeFest is excited to welcome to this year’s festival!
While we do not have a dedicated stage to hardcore artists this year, we hope to see many hardcore bands apply for slots on Second Stage! These slots are available through a pay-to-play process. If you want your band to play on Second Stage at AF2012, click here

AgapeFest 2012 Battle of the Bands is an annual competition that is a part of the Agape Music Festival. The battle takes place on April 14th, with the 3 selected bands moving on to play the festival on May 5th. Traditionally, AgapeFest Battle of the Bands accepts regional bands and artists that play Rock, Pop, Contemporary Christian, or Alternative.
There is only one performance round in this Battle of the Bands. This happens in the Blackroom on the campus of Greenville College. The bands who move on will then play at AgapeFest on Saturday May 5th. All lyrics must be clean and appropriate for a Christian music listening audience.
This year, the Battle of the Bands is presented by the Christian Festival Association’s national talent search. Winner of that has a chance at playing all participating CFA Festivals next year!
AgapeFest is completely organized and operated by students of Greenville College. AgapeFest has been running annually for over 35 years and is held at the Bond County Fairgrounds in Greenville, IL. It’s primary goals are to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord of all creation through an exciting Christian music ministry, yo provide an experiential learning opportunity for Greenville College students interested in large events planning and concert promotion and to market Greenville College and its exciting Contemporary Christian Music, Music Business, Digital Media, Media Promotions and Public Relations programs.
