Skillet has just been confirmed to headline Saturday Night at Agapefest 2010. Skillet is no stranger to AgapeFest, but this will be the first time for the band to close the festival.
Skillet has had recent success with their new album “Awake,” which rose to #2 on the Billboard charts on it’s debut. “Awake” was #1 on both the Billboard Top Christian Albums, and Billboard Top Alternative Albums. “Awake” also reached #2 on the Billboard 200, and Billboard Top Rock Albums.
We’re excited to have Skillet back at the festival!

It’s official; we have our first band booked for AgapeFest 2010! The runners-up in last year’s Battle of the Bands competition, Mark David and Surface Deep will take the opening spot on Friday April 30th at 5pm. The Alton, IL based band is no stranger to AgapeFest, having played on both stages last year. The bands mix of Gospel and Rock has been gaining a following around the Metro East. The band is on the rise and we are pleased to have them opening Main Stage. All of us at AgapeFest HQ are proud to support our local artists and can’t wait to see Mark David and Surface Deep play at AgapeFest 2010!
You can follow Mark David and Surface Deep on Twitter at twitter.com/surfacedeep or on Myspace at www.myspace.com/surfacedeepofficial.

We just wanted to thank all of you for coming out and supporting The HOPE Tour this last week. The HOPE Tour really is a phenomenal tour with great bands, and a great message. Agapefest was very happy to be a part of this leg of the tour, and to be able to provide staffing for the show. Even though we were “working” we still had a blast working with Fireflight, Remedy Drive, and Abandon. The bands and tour crew are a great group, and they were a lot of fun to work with. You know you’re working with good folks when you can have fun loading a trailer at 11:30 p.m. on a school night. Read More »
