Advantages of using incognito mode when listening to music online
In today’s digital realm, traditional business models have become a thing of the past and numerous fresh opportunities have replaced them. The online music industry has experienced such changes. There’s no doubt that the emergence of the digital streaming industry has changed the way people listen to music. Today, the industry has become a major part of the bigger music industry and it continues to develop exponentially. Music lovers can stream and listen to their preferred music anytime, anywhere and almost for free. Here’re some of the key advantages offered by today’s online music industry.
- It’s more portable and more practical than the traditional way of listening to music. You can access music anytime, anywhere and it doesn’t consume space on your hard drive.
- Thanks to genre-specific chart playlists, your music always remains up to date.
- You have a much wider choice.
- You can quickly create your favourite playlists with ease.
- You can discover new genres and artists with ease.
- You receive suggestions for new releases and concerts.
Sometimes, listeners of online music, especially the ones that are free, experience issues in terms of accessing content when using the normal browser. Use of “incognito mode” or “private browsing” can not only help resolve these issues but also protect you from prying eyes. Here’re the major benefits of using incognito mode protection.
- It protects you when you’re not on your personal computer. For instance, if you forgot to log out of your account when using a public computer, anyone using the machine next can go through your browsing history. When you use incognito mode, you’re logged out automatically of any open accounts as soon as your browsing session ends. This can keep your information safe from a stranger or an overly curious friend.
- It blocks websites from gathering your personal information. Since your browsing history is quite long and detailed, much of the advertisements you see online are specifically targeted for you. Thus, e-commerce sites can show you products based on your earlier browsing, and Google can display the songs you might want to listen next based on your previous searches. If you’d like to have a fresh beginning, an incognito mode can let you do that.
From letting you enjoy music without being concerned about who’s snooping on you to keeping you safe from unsecured or potentially sketchy sites and unscrupulous elements, the incognito mode can help you in various ways. So, use it when you go online to listen to music.
The Madison Letter up for MTV Award
February means cold temps and snow, snow, snow for the students of Greenville College. You can even check out how our staff makes the best of it—Agapefest Style, of course—in our newest segment of AFTV. Aside from the chilly weather outside, though, for some students, February means the start of something new. It is the month that four young men joined together to form a campus band that is now getting nation-wide attention.
The Madison Letter initially started in February of 2010, and its members include Clayton Jones, Phil Ortiz, Tyler Ross, and Mitch Schrock. Throughout the past three years, they have been involved in our festival.
“We first got involved with AgapeFest in the spring of 2010 when we tried out for the festival’s battle of the bands, in which we placed second,” Jones explained. “And we’ve been asked back every year since then.”
The band has also played various shows in 14 states across the US; and their biggest, most-noteworthy gig was this past October when they opened for The Script at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis.
Currently, The Madison Letter is nominated as one of four bands in the country for MTVu’s first ever Chevrolet Sonic College Artist Woodie Award. The band is now being featured on all of MTV’s networks as well as the website, www.chevy.mtv.com. There, you can vote for them unlimitedly through March 1st. If the band wins the popular vote, they will be flown down to Austin, TX in March to perform live and receive the award at the Woodie Awards, which takes place during SXSW music festival.
This could be big for this very talented group of students and we, at Agapefest, want to support them as much as possible so we ask that you VOTE, VOTE, VOTE!
