Definitely go over to their MySpace and listen a bunch to bump their song plays. THEN, come out to AgapeFest in May and rock out to their sweet, sweet tunes. Oh, it might be nice to let High Flight Society know just how excited you are to see them at af09, leave some comments on their MySpace too. (They’ve got a new EP coming out soon too!)

Everyone. This is a call to arms. Please pray as hard as you can that God will push the rain somewhere else! 

You’ve seen we’ve been adding bands to Main Stage. We’ve got exciting Second Stage news coming, but we want to make sure it’s as finalized as possible before letting it loose. So keep checking back.

If you’re wandering around the site and see some changes, it’s because we’ve been working on some upgrades here at AgapeFest.com HQ. We’ve got the commenting working better (so leave some comments!) and there’s something new built-in called gravatars. If you sign up with gravatar.com and register your email, you can upload a small image that will show up on any sites that support gravatars whenever you leave a comment. Check out my comment below to see what I mean.

News is coming, so hang on! AgapeFest 2008 is only 30 days away!

Well we have a few updates for you. First off the to be announced space in our lineup is now filled. We had The Send, then they weren’t able to come so we have been trying to fill that spot with another great band–and we’ve found one. Children 18:3 is going to be filling that place. It’s pretty exciting really!

Secondly, at this point if you are in a band and you already have a Sonicbids account you can start the application process for our Battle of the Bands. If you don’t have an account we will be putting up the necessary info hopefully (fingers crossed) by the end of this week today.

Finally, we felt like it would be cool to let you all in on who we are as a staff. So sometime soon we are going to be putting up a sort of “get-to-know-you” thing with all our names, majors, staff positions and favorite ice cream flavors–or something like that.

And, I’m going to end this with a random question:
Where are you traveling from to be at the festival? Let us know in the comments!

How about Nevertheless, The Send and Run Kid Run? They’ll be there. The slots are filling in. I’m hoping to have a complete lineup up on the Bands page here in the next couple of weeks.

I also want to thank you guys for the comments. The bands you recommend help us put together a great festival for everyone coming out. If you’re in a Youth Group, make sure you tell your youth pastor or leader to check out this site. And tell them you want to be at AgapeFest 2008.

Also. We have TONS of features in the works for this website including videos, festival photos that you can submit, great resources for youth leaders, and maybe even blogs from the people running the festival all year long. So definitely stay tuned.

P.P.S. – Also want to clarify that Family Force 5 won’t be able to make it as one of their members is getting married that weekend. We tried, but I think marriage is a bit cooler than playing our festival. Not much, but a bit.
