VOTA & Brooke

Update: We are still trying to fill Brooke’s slot. More difficulties, VOTA had to pull out. But hey, that’s how the music industry works. We’ll keep you up-to-date here and on our twitter.

Hey friends. We’ve got some sad news, but then some exciting news.

The sad news is that Brooke Barrettsmith has had to cancel and will not be rockin’ the festival this year. We’re sad to lose such a great musician this year.

The exciting news is that VOTA is going to fill her slot. Have you heard VOTA? The band is fantastic. We’re all a-twitter here at AgapeFest HQ to have VOTA playing on Main Stage.

  1. Stealing my stage 2 bands… But this is an all around plus for both the festival and VOTA. Vota’s a great band, and everyone should check out their set at AgapeFest!

  2. I love VOTA! Their music is awesome. I so can’t wait for agape now. With Eleventyseven, VOTA, The Afters, Hawk Nelson and TobyMac going to be there, this year will be sweet. Now all you guy need to do is try to get Family Force 5 for next year. Please try.:)

Thanks for planning an awesome year!

    Courtney

  3. Just so you all know VOTA used to be Casting Pearls and the lead singer Brian Olesen used to play guitar for the Newsboys before Paul Colman. I didn’t know if any of you guys new that.

  4. @Courtney Cool! Thanks for the info. I didn’t know that.

  5. @Joel
No problem =]. I just thought I would share it for the ones who might not know.

  6. I just want to throw it out there that from Run Kid Run’s myspace page, they are not booked for the weekend of Agape. I talked to them at a show a while back and told them they should be there and they said they loved playing at Agape last year. Please, please ask them to play!!!! ;)

  7. hey, just wondering who you had in mind for the after hours cafe thing on friday night? You should definatly consider Addison Road again this year! they were amazing last year, and i’d love to see them again!

  8. @R.S.

Susan Shepherd is playing Coffeehouse. She’s pretty amazing. You can check out her music on her myspace ».

  10. @Ian I just sent you an email with an answer!

  11. hey, thanks for the info, kinda bummed that Addison Road will not be doing it again, but thats cool. I’m open to new bands, thats the best way to learn about new awsome music!

You should consider Addison Road to take the place of Brooke!!!! That would be more than amazing!!! or, like Stellar Kart again. They were amazing two years ago, i loved it when Adam climbed up the pole and was preaching from the top! They are so annointed with the word its rediculous!!!!! anyway, just saying! Thanks for being awsome! and i cant waitfor this year, already preordered my tickets!!

  12. I would like to see Steller Kart again too.

  13. how about relient k, this providence, falling up, mainstay, krystal meyers…?

  14. I think u guys should talk Andy Whitten in to play on the Main Stage or The Second Stage

  15. You guys should try to get B.Reith to play main stage, or seventhtimedown, or Stellar Kart.

  16. Some Suggestions: Jonezetta, The Fold, Todd Aganew, Nate Sallie maybe Inhabited

and some bands that are amazing: Copeland, Showbread, MewithoutYou

Bradley Hathaway is cool, I know he’s a poet but I’m not sure if he does music now too or not?

Also, Where is the coffee house? I haven’t ever been able to find it.

I liked Dear Future a lot last year.

  17. @Jose Agape Coffeehouse is on Stage 2 after mainstage shuts down for the night! Just look for the Coffeehouse banner.

  18. Mmkay, thank you.

  19. How about a female led gospel band that really rocks?

  21. hey you should get family force 5 to come this year!

  22. @Alli We already tried FF5 but they have a tour going on and can’t do our festival. We were really bummed.

  23. You guys should try to get Edison Glass to play! Or you could try Seabird. The Elms are incredible too.
