AgapeFest Battle of the Bands 2012 Now Open!

AgapeFest 2012 Battle of the Bands is an annual competition that is a part of the Agape Music Festival. The battle takes place on April 14th, with the 3 selected bands moving on to play the festival on May 5th. Traditionally, AgapeFest Battle of the Bands accepts regional bands and artists that play Rock, Pop, Contemporary Christian, or Alternative.

There is only one performance round in this Battle of the Bands. This happens in the Blackroom on the campus of Greenville College. The bands who move on will then play at AgapeFest on Saturday May 5th. All lyrics must be clean and appropriate for a Christian music listening audience.

This year, the Battle of the Bands is presented by the Christian Festival Association’s national talent search. Winner of that has a chance at playing all participating CFA Festivals next year!

AgapeFest is completely organized and operated by students of Greenville College. AgapeFest has been running annually for over 35 years and is held at the Bond County Fairgrounds in Greenville, IL. It’s primary goals are to exalt Jesus Christ as Lord of all creation through an exciting Christian music ministry, yo provide an experiential learning opportunity for Greenville College students interested in large events planning and concert promotion and to market Greenville College and its exciting Contemporary Christian Music, Music Business, Digital Media, Media Promotions and Public Relations programs.

  3. How does our band go about signing up for the battle of the bands. We are from Cenla (alexandria area Louisiana). “Regrets of 27″ is our name. We have people from our church telling us to join this! :) We would love to do travel and play

  5. I noticed Hip-hop is not on the traditional genres, but is it allowed?

  6. We do allow Hip-Hop acts, however our Battle of the Bands submissions are closed for this year. Thanks for your inquiry though!
