Agapefest 2010

Andrew ElyHello AgapeFest fans! I hope that everyone is having a smooth transition back into school and that you are finding classes not too complicated. We here at AgapeFest HQ are having a great time getting prepared for next year’s festival. We have already held several meetings and discussed our goals for the upcoming year.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Andrew Ely. I am the director of AgapeFest 2010. I am a senior at Greenville College, currently persuing a major in Mass Communications. This will be my fourth year working for AgapeFest. I was a volunteer my freshman year, working with the security department of the festival. My second year I was on staff in the grounds crew. Last year, I was the Assistant Director under Alyssa Marshall. This position gave me the opportunity to learn all the ins and outs of a student run festival. It also helped me to identify the specific details covered by the director. I am ecstatic to be holding the position of director for the 2010 festival. The entire cabinet and I have plenty of work ahead of us, but I am confident that we will have no problem producing a wonderful festival next spring.

I would like to request that you, the AgapeFest fans, be in prayer for the cabinet, myself, and anyone else who might be contributing to the success of the festival. We are first and foremost a Christian music festival and the only way we can succeed is with the Lord’s help. I thank you for your prayers and encouragement throughout the year. God bless you guys and get ready for a fantastic AgapeFest 2010!

-Andrew

I represent a Christian Rock/Worship group called Cadence that would love to be involved with the festival. They have played with national recording groups such as Tenth Avenue North, Charlie Hall, and recently with Sidewalk Prophets. I would love to get more information and stay up to date about the selection process. You can check out their website @ http://www.cadenceworship.com. Look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks,
    Matt

  24. Hello Andrew,
My name is Melissa Foat and I book for Holy Hip-Hop artists such as FLAME, Everyday Process, R-Swift, Thi’Sl and many more. I would like to know if Agape Fest has ever booked music of this genre. Many of my artists have been featured on Creation Fest, Purpledoor Fest, Passion Fest, Kingdom Bound, and the list goes on.
I hope to hear from you soon.
I was the former booking Agent for The Cross Movement until the group retired; now they are all doing single projects. Grace and Peace,
    Melissa

  25. Melissa,

Go ahead and email me. http://tinymail.me/krkqx7

  30. Diversity needed at Agape! Rock bands are great, but every festival is always so saturated with rock bands!!

Bring Tye Tribbett, Toby Mac, Mary Mary, Israel and New Breed, Ricardo Sanchez, or Group 1 Crew!

  31. Hi my name is Jason Mathews, i was wondering if there was someone I could talk to about booking bands for Agape, something for like stage 2. Anyone i can talk to?

  32. I have a question/suggestion. Will their be any Holy Hip Hop at Agpape Fest 2010? I believe this is an untapped genre of music that I belive the people in attendance would greatly appreciate. I saw R-Swift and Everyday Process at both Creation Fest and Purple Door and they both representated the Lord to the fullest. I know that was the first time Purple Door had a HHH artist and I would love for Agape Fest 2010 bring R-Swift or Everyday Process to the stage! Another excellent artist would be Thi’sl and Flame. PLEASE BRING HOLY HIP HOP TO AGAPE FEST 2010!!

  43. Hey! I don’t know if the sign up for the Battle of the Bands at AgapeFest 2010 has begun yet, but my band, ‘Without Cause,’ is extremely excited about getting the chance to perform! I sent an email quite awhile ago to see if that’d be a possibility. Let me know if we can take part in this year’s Battle of the Bands!
