About AgapeFest

AgapeFest is a Christ-centered, student-run ministry of Greenville College. It’s primary goals are:

  1. Exalt Jesus Christ as Lord of all creation through an exciting Christian music ministry.
  2. To provide an experiential learning opportunity for Greenville College students interested in large event planning and concert promotion.
  3. To market Greenville College and its exciting Contemporary Christian Music, Music Business, Digital Media, Media Promotions and Public Relations programs.

A Message from the Director

Thank you for your interest in attending AgapeFest. We are a Two-Day Christian Music Festival that is ran and operated by students from Greenville College. This year we will feature a wide variety of talent from many genres within the Christian Music industry. Our festival is growing for our 2011 festival with the addition of a Third Stage and the addition of some higher caliber artists on our Second Stage.

Artists like Third Day, Neetobreathe, Hawk Nelson, Tenth Avenue North, Lecrae, Group1Crew, Downhere, Remedy Drive and Sidewalk Prophets will be featured on the main stage throughout the course of the weekend. We also feature local talent like the Fundamental Elements, Clayton Jones Band, News from Verona and Photoside Cafe. There will also be several growing national artists like Eleventyseven, Philmont, Random Hero and Vota.

As always, our Second Stage will be home to our Battle of the Bands competition. This unique competition allows local artists to compete against other local artists for the opportunity to perform at AgapeFest. We also have bigger local artists that we have booked like Icon for Hire and Aaron Mansfield and the addition of several national touring artists like 33 Miles, Abandon, Rush of Fools, Jonny Diaz and Finding Favour, brought to you by GOA.

Our new Third Stage, sponsored by Sancrosanct Records will feature many national and local artists that focus on the harder genres of Christian music. The bands on this stage will most likely be screaming and playing with their amplifiers maxed out, but we’re cool with it! This is a new ministry opportunity for us to reach out to those that are attracted to these harder and more aggressive genres of music.

Our staff consists of many talented students from a wide variety of backgrounds and majors. The majors within our staff include Music Business, Youth Ministry, Communications, Education, Business Management, Digital Media, Criminal Justice, History & Political Science  and many more. I am a Senior, Majoring in both Business Management and Marketing. I am assisted by Carli Marlowe, she is a Music Business major and will assume the role of Director for AgapeFest 2012.
