Ending with a BANG! Or a Face Plant

Tomorrow is the beginning of our festival set up so today will be our last artist of the day! We figured we would go out with a bang, or maybe just a face plant from the Zach brothers. If you don’t believe us on the face plant… check out the picture over there -> Or better yet, come see Remedy Drive on the main stage on Saturday afternoon!

Got a Question?

We have an answer!

We would love to answer any questions you might have regarding AgapeFest. Our website has a ton of info inside of it so here are a few links for you. If you have a general question check out our General Info page or our FAQ page. Need some information on tickets? Check the Tickets page. Want to know who is playing this year? Our Bands page has all of the bands listed.

If the website doesn’t answer your question the quickest and easiest way to get a hold of us is to shoot us an e-mail at info@agapefest.com.

or

You can call AgapeFest Headquarters at (618) 664-1861 or (618) 664-1806. Since we’re all full time college students the office is only occupied a couple of hours each day. In order for us to serve all of our guests the best way possible we ask that you leave your full name, your phone number (including your area code), and a message. We have had a few calls from folks that either didn’t include a phone number or gave us a phone number without an area code so we were not able to get back with them sadly.

Let us know if you have any questions or need anything!

Ready to Run?

Due to our server issues yesterday we were unable to feature Stephanie Smith so we figured Run Kid Run would be cool with splitting the spotlight!

-Stephanie Smith : She is a Greenville College Alum and an artist on Gotee records. AgapeFest is always a homecoming for Stephanie Smith and it’s always good for us to see her back on the Agape. Come check her out on the main stage on Saturday and at her HomePage.

-Run Kid Run : Are some good ole’ boys from the state of Illinois! So it makes it even cooler to have them as one of our featured artists on Saturday nights lineup! We’re excited to bring them back through the festival and bump them up a few time slots for this year. Give them a listen here at their Myspace.

Gasoline & Wavorly?

I met these guys at a gas station in Greenville during last years festival. The cool part about meeting them was the fact that they came up and introduced themselves to myself and the guys on my crew while we were filling the truck up. This meeting made me realize that the only thing better than a conversation with coffee is a conversation with gasoline. We all talked for awhile about the festival and then talked about their music and how they take the gospel on the road. So I encourage you all to come out on Friday night and see these guys. They really are some of the nicest folks in the industry and they put on a great show.

The Pride of Greenville College – Eagle Scout

Eagle Scout is currently sitting next to me in class, well at least the lead singer Brandon Hunter is. For the last couple of years Eagle Scout (formerly known as Cool Your Jets) has been the featured band on the campus of Greenville College and surrounding areas. Whether they’re playing at a house, a church basement, or the schools venue you’re guaranteed to be in a full house. They were recently featured on the website Absolute Punk to celebrate the release of their new album “New Hands” on Cavity Records.

When asking Brandon about his thoughts on AgapeFest he told me “It’s a great way for all of us to finish our senior year at Greenville College. Being a featured act on the second stage is an honor and we’re excited to play.” Brandon also informed me of their aspirations to play the festival again in the future, he said “We’re planning to play the festival again… for the next 35 years… straight… every set will be the same. You can watch us mature over time.” As you can tell they have a sense of humor and you can see it in their live show so come see them on the Second Stage on Saturday Afternoon.

Want to join the Queens Club?

Queens Club is coming to AgapeFest to kick off a new set we’re starting on the Second Stage. We are trying to grow and expand our festival so we are starting to have sets on Second Stage on Friday night when the stage would normally be shut down. This year we are letting Burning Yesterday and Queens Club play the Friday night set. They will start playing shortly after the battle of the bands wraps up.

So come be a part of this AgapeFest first.

Random Hero & Abandon Kansas

Random Hero & Abandon Kansas

Due to some internet connection issues we had trouble posting Random Hero’s artist of the day yesterday so we’re going to put them and Abandon Kansas together today.

Both bands are coming from the West, Random Hero coming from Colorado and Abandon Kansas will in fact  be abandoning Kansas for the weekend. Abandon Kansas is from Gotee and they will be headlining on our second stage on Saturday. Random Hero is currently unsigned but they are being looked at my a few major labels currently, they will be on the main stage Saturday.

We’re Going Beyond the Surface and into the Deep Today

Mark David and Surface Deep
For the last two years these guys have been finalists in our battle of the bands competition and every time they hit the stage they just went crazy. So we figured it was time to give them a slot on the main stage. It only made sense to let them kick off the festival with their high energy performance and they agreed. Over the last year they have played many spots in the mid-west and Illinois but they will be making their festival lineup debut at AgapeFest. If you want something new to listen to, a diverse blend of music, and a high energy show to rock to… Mark David and Surface Deep is the band for you. You can also catch their front man Mark speaking on the main stage later that night as well.

Bust Out the Double Bass Pedal and the One Handed Palm Mutes

I AM TERRIFIED is our Artist of the Day
We’re trying something new this year. There will be a hardcore band on the main stage. I AM TERRIFIED’s set will be a pretty historic set for the festival and hopefully the first of many hardcore acts playing on our stage in years to come. You have spoken, we have listened! Enjoy I AM TERRIFIED on the main stage on Saturday!
