Fireflight Is Confirmed

Fireflight

That’s right! Our good friends in Fireflight will be back to AgapeFest 2009! If you weren’t at AF last year, you totally missed out because Fireflight was INCREDIBLE. We are super excited to have them back at the festival in 2009.

We are nailing down the last two slots in our lineup and will hopefully be announcing those sometime before Christmas. Thank you all for your comments about the lineup, it’s helped us out a ton and we are loving the lineup we’ve been able to secure.

Stuff On the Way
Thanksgiving will be here in just two days (and I’m hungry!), and we hope you have a fantastic time with your family and friends thanking God for all the great stuff he’s done this past year.

When you’re back from eating all of that lovely turkey and it’s finally time to start listening to Christmas music (you haven’t started already, have you?), we’ll have a bit of an early Christmas gift for you. More details will be coming on that soon, so make sure you check back here.

We’re also working on some super cool things to see here on the site. Our staff and cabinet at AgapeFest HQ love you all and want to show you a bit of what we do.

So! All the more reason to check back here soon! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Lots of News!

Phew. It’s been a busy last couple of weeks here at AgapeFest HQ. We’ve got tons and tons of news for you today, but first I want to thank everyone for your comments! It’s been awesome to see the lists you’ve been leaving. We’ve taken a lot of what you’ve said to heart and booked as many bands as possible. Since we’re such a short festival, it’s tough to get EVERY band you want, but I think we’ve got an awesome mix this year.

So. The news. Would you like to see who’s playing this year? Because the lineup is almost done. Hit the jump to find out who will be on Main Stage at AgapeFest 2009! Read More »

An Update: Media/PR Style!

As the seasons change, the focus on AgapeFest becomes tighter and tighter. It’s really hard to believe there is only a month left in this semester. When everyone returns, AgapeFest meetings and planning will be in full swing! Our media/PR team is completely assembled and everyone is excited and ready to begin. I would also like to welcome my amazing assistant director MacKenzie Osborne to the cabinet. We have a great team this year that is truly dedicated to getting all of you excited and ready for the festival.

Make sure you check out the AgapeFest MySpace page at www.myspace.com/agapemusicfestival. I’ve recently updated it and will try to every few days. Add us as a friend, comment us, and even put us in your top friends if you REALLY love us. ;-) [No pressure] Just stay connected!

The best way you can help us, the media/PR team, is by simply telling everyone you know about AgapeFest!! Tell them why you love it, why you come, and why they should join you this year! It’d mean the world to us.

Jesus loves you. Never forget that!

Anticipating AgapeFest

Hey everybody,

My name is Andrew Ely and I am the Assistant Director of AgapeFest this year. I am a junior at Greenville College, currently pursuing a major in Mass Communication. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself because not only am I the Assistant Director this year, but I will be the Director of the festival in 2010.

I have been involved with AgapeFest since my first year at Greenville College. I was a volunteer my freshman year, then I was on staff sophomore year, and now I am a member of the cabinet. I also attended AgapeFest twice before I was a student at the college. I love this festival and I am so excited to be an intricate part of insuring that it is a success. We have a great team of volunteers this year, but we need your help as well. Let your friends know about AgapeFest and make sure to mention it to your youth pastor. If more people know about Agape it will enable us to run the festival at its full potential.

I look forward to reading your comments about the festival, so keep them coming. Let us know what we can do to improve the festival, or let us know what you have enjoyed about past festivals. Thanks alot and I look forward to seeing you at AgapeFest 2009.
